Heyo, Sonic and Mario. I have here some world suggestions we could put in the "World' section. I know there's already quite a bit, but nothing says "AWESOME SITE!" or "SITE OF THE YEAR!" like "Variety", right? I'll sort them by series. Some of them even have Environment Hazards (things that can harm you randomly in the area) Anyway, here they are;
Borderlands;
Arid Badlands - A large, desert-like scene. A lot of this area looks like a junk-pile. This area is by no means deserted, however. There are many dangerous enemies in the badlands. Skogs, Bandits, and other dangerous enemies await.
Fallout 3;
Capital Wasteland - This area is, as implied by the name, a giant wasteland that used to be the United States. A post-nuclear apocalyptic United States, if you will. Despite most of the population being destroyed, there are still many survivors. Some good, some savage ghouls. Mutated animals, mutated humans known as ghouls, and other beings that have gone crazy inhabit the area. There are also many friendly towns such as Megaton and Rivet City within the Capital Wasteland. Be careful not to stand in water for too long, you might get sick with radiation poisoning. Also, you never know when the air you're breathing might be toxic, either.
Left 4 Dead 2 (This one has a lot);
Left 4 Dead 2 is all in a post-zombie apocalypse world in southern United States. Every world is inhabited entirely by zombie-like individuals known as infected.
Whispering Oaks - An old carnival with many games and attractions, most notably the Screaming Oak, a huge roller coaster at the center of the park. This amusement park also has many other attractions, such as a carousel, a Tunnel of Love, and a huge, set stadium used for concerts or any other type of performance. Around this area, you need to watch out for Clown infected.. they attract more infected to they're area.
Miltown - An old, abandoned (except for the infected, of course) town. Inside this town is a famous chain-restaurant, Burger Tank. South of the town is a large body of water that seems impassible, and to the North is large, Witch-filled Sugar Mill. This town is very famous for it's heavy storms and large, sugar cane fields. Watch out for Witches in this area. They can severely damage a play who gets too close to them.
French Quarter, New Orleans - A Quarter in the town of New Orleans, filled with Mardi Gras preparations that show that Mardi Gras was to take place before the infection occurred in the south. The area around here is being bombed, so you have to watch out for fighter jets dropping bombs on you.
That's all for now. But I will be sure to post some more if I happen to come up with any. Oh, and here are how the hazards work so far;
Fallout 3;
Capital Wasteland;
While in motion, roll a die. If your result is a 1, you are sick with minor radiation poisoning. You stepped in a puddle of water or ran through toxic air. You roll a die every turn. So if you roll another 1, you are sick with advanced radiation poisoning. Here's how it is played out;
1 "1 Result" = Minor Radiation Poisoning.
2 "1 Result"s = Advanced Radiation Poisoning.
3 "1 Result"s = Critical Radiation Poisoning.
4 "1 Result"s = Lethal Radiation Poisoning.
5 "1 Result"s = Death.
If at any point you roll a 6, your radiation level decreases by 1. Say you have Critical Radiation Poisoning and you roll a 6. Your radiation level is now Advanced instead of Critical.
Left 4 Dead 2;
Whispering Oaks;
Every turn, roll a die. If your result is a 1, 2, 3, or 4, nothing happens. However, if you're result is a 5 or a 6, a clown appears and summons a horde. You take 10 damage (this is unavoidable) for a 5, and 20 for a 6. So the dice layout is;
1 Result = Nothing
2 Result = Nothing
3 Result = Nothing
4 Result = Nothing
5 Result = 10 Damage to all players.
6 Result = 20 Damage to all players.
Miltown;
Every turn, roll two dice. If the dice are doubles with a number higher than 3, you went to close to a Witch and she attacked you. Depending on how high the dice roll was, depends on the damage done. Here is the dice layout;
1&1 Result = Nothing
2&2 Result = Nothing
3&3 Result = Nothing
4&4 Result = 1/4 of your TOTAL HP is Depleted ( Eg. 25/100 )
5&5 Result = 1/3 of your TOTAL HP is Depleted ( Eg. 33/100 )
6&6 Result = 1/2 of your TOTAL HP is Depleted ( Eg. 50/100 )
French Quarter, New Orleans;
Every turn, roll two dice. If the dice are doubles with the number 1 or 6, you will take damage depending on the result. Here is the dice layout;
1&1 Result = 10 Damage to ALL players.
2&2 Result = Nothing
3&3 Result = Nothing
4&4 Result = Nothing
5&5 Result = Nothing
6&6 Result = 20 Damage to ALL players.
