"So this is where it will all start? It's a nice quiet place. I myself, heard stories of how Link started one of his many adventures here. So many lives changed by one person. I wonder if one day soon i'll be able to have the same effect. By then hopefully i'll have my fight with Link." Tsumetai found himeself in thee middle of Hyrule castle. There he stood with his sword in hand and his shield in the other. As he looked around he saw the king sitting on his throne and Zelda at his side. Behind him stood a large door. Atleast 10 feet tall it stood. Width wise it had to be atlease 6 feet wide. As he turned to look in front of him he saw his rival. Could it be at long last? Could Tsumetai be facing the great Link? Before he even had a chance to utter a word Link charged him violently. As he approached Tsumetai he jumped high in the air and swung his sword down aiming for his head. Just as Tsumetai drew his weapon he woke up! "What-what was that? A dream? Yeah it had to be a dream. Or could it be a vison of things to come. Either way I need to get my self together.

Tsumetai got up out of his hand made bed and looked around. It was still dark outside. Everyone else was still sleep. Tsumetai wasn't use to the concept of night and day. In his version of Hyrule it's always red outside. Night and day mean nothing. Either your running from Gannon minons or resting from running from them. Tsumetai walked over to the water supply ouyside of his current house and splashe some of it on his face. In the water's reflection he saw what appeared to be him. Only difference this version of him had long horns comming from his head along with a dark purple aura surrounding him. His eyes were as black as the night. Five words were uttered before the reflection faded away. "You know wh at you are." Tsumetai punched the water with his right hand. "I'm nothing like that....atleast not anymore. The wrong I did is something that I can not change but I will become a hero worthy of praise and I will have my fight with Link. That is a promise." Tsumetai cliched his fist and looked at the sky. He knew what he had to do. The first thing was head out to the lost woods to see if anyone knew where Link was. This was his first and only mission in life. If along the way he became a hero well that would be cool to.

Today, Mario decided to travel around different areas to see if he could discover new things, meet new people, and stop uprising problems before they came to pass. On today's random adventure he ended up in the Lost Woods, where he spent several hours trying to find his way out. Eventually, when he finally reappeared, he was in a small forest which seemed to be some type of village. Just then, he heard a loud splash of water quickly followed by some words he couldn't quite make out. He looked around until he noticed Tsumetai looking up at the sky. "Hey! Is everything alright over there?" Mario asked kindly as he briskly picked up his walking pace and stopped a few yards away from the stranger.

Tsumetai heard the sound of a voice off in the distance. Quickly he looked to the right, then left. With his sword drawn he turned around in a circle and looked upward. "Wh-who's there? Are friend or foe? Make yourself known." Tsumetai closed his eyes and and took in a deep breath. He held it for a few moments then exhaled. "I'm alright just a little on edge. If your still here mister I'd like to meet you face to face." Tsumetai put his sword back into it's sheeth and put his hands up to show that he was not out to harm whoever this person was. He just wanted to talk. Maybe this person knew the whereabouts of Link. Maybe it was Link. Soon Tsumetai would know.

Mario looked over Tsumetai curiously, seeing how he dressed, what he was armed with, that sort of thing. "Hi, my name's Mario." He greeted simply as he wondered what kind of people lived in this village. He caught a quick glimpse of Tsumetai's hand and noticed what appeared to be the triforce symbol. "Hey, do you know Link? Both of you have the same symbol on your hand." Mario commented politely as he wondered why this man would have that sort of thing.

Tsumetai could tell that the guy he was talking was not from around here. When he saw his clothing it only proved Tsumetai right. After he introduced himself, Tsumetai took a bow and introduced himself. "I am Tsumetai. Also known as the forgotten one." After the meet and greet Mario spoke the name that struck a cord with Tsumetai. "Link? You know Link? Do you know his last known whereabouts? Can you tell me where he is now?" Tsumetai had to calm his self as he was starting to get fired up. He then looked down at his hand. "This is a story in itself. If you have the time I could tell you. I'm searching for Link. Along the way i'm also looking to become a hero just like him. It's not that I admire him but more like I have something to prove to myself as well as everyone from my world." Tsumetai clinched his fist and the let it go. "So what brings you out here to these parts? Lost or something?" Tsumetai made a joke because of the irony of being lost in Lost woods.

Mario took a second to take in the mass amount of enthusiasm that was given from the mere mention of Link. He pondered over this for a brief moment before dismissing the thought. "I guess lost would probably be the right word for it." Mario replied slowly with a hint of humor in his voice. Mario didn't want to talk about his own misfortune, so he decided to change the subject. "Well, if you really want to see Link, I remember running into him not to long ago. I could show you if we could get out of here." Mario continued his phrase as he scratched his head, scaning the village to look for exits, he noticed a few. Mario looked around for a couple of seconds before returning his gaze to Tsumetai. "Do you know the way out of here?" He asked him calmly as he already assumed that he knew the way out.

As Mario spoke Tsumetai listened closely. Mario knew Link's last known whereabouts. This information was very instresting. Here Tsumetai was looking high and low and all he had to do was ask for someone who knew him. Tsumetai looked around for a moment then at the sky. "I know the way out. In my world these woods are exactly the same. Just let your ears guide you. Also there are a few creatures along the way but nothing we can't handle. So while we ealk i'll tell you a little about me. First we go left." Tsumetai pointed to the left. He traveled these woods several times in this world and his. Tsumetai's history is confusing but he was about to clear up alot of it.

"Well i'm from another........time if you will. You see n my time these woods along with all of Hyrule is ruled by one man NO one maniac. There is no day and night there. Only running and hiding. Either you work for this mad man or you die. Plain and simple. I made the mistake of picking the wrong choice which led me here. I've done things i'm not proud of but i'm here not to redeem myself but to start a new legacy." Tsumetai remebered Mario askingabout his triforce symbol. He looked at his hand and then at Mario. "This on my hand resembles the triforce Link has but mine is Redemption instead of courage. The other two triforce peices belong to the maniac who rules the world and the the person who wants to kill him and rule herself. Gannon and Zelda."

"That sounds awful." Mario commented grimly as they pressed on through the lost woods. While listening to Tsumetai's back story, Mario listened carefully so he could take in and understand every word that he spoke. Mario began to ponder everything for a while until he finally decided to ask him something. "So, Link has the Triforce of Courage, Gannon has the Triforce of Power, and Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom. So my question is, how did the fourth triforce, the Triforce of Redemption, end up with you?" Mario question was simple enough, but he'd learned from personal experiance how strong the Triforce could be in the hands of someone who was able to possess it. So he wished to know just a little bit more about this new one that he'd never heard of before.

Tsumetai looked at Mario before looking ahead. "Now we go right. Also to answer your question I have to go deeper into the history of my world." Tsumetai glanced at his hand then at the sky above. The Lost Woods made it hard for sunlight to come through but when it did it felt warm and soothing. He closed his eyes for a moment to take it all in. A deep breath in and then out. "Well just like the gods who made the Triforce parts here the Gods did the same in my world which we call Dark Hyrule. At first we knew nothing of this world. We thought we were the only one. The came the day Gannon entered the Temple of Light and breached our world. Well once that happened the Gods became angry and knew that they needed a a way to stop him. Thusly they created the Triforce. But something happened. Moments after it's creation it became black and dark."

Tsumetai looked straight ahead. "Now we go straight." Continuing his story Tsumetai went on about the history of Dark Hyrule. "Once it became dark it went into three parts. Instead of the Courage, Wisdom, and Power it became Hatred, Destruction and Redemption. Hatred went to the Gannon from Dark Hyrule and Destruction went to Dark Zelda. With both of them now having power beyond anything we've ever seen they began to wage war against one another. At the time I was working for Gannon so I gave him the edge in battle which led to his victory over Zelda. After that she went into suclusion. Only to emerge several years later with an army ready to take Gannon out. At that moment I realized wht my Triforce part meant. I had to make things right. I had to go through that evil to undrstand it. That's when I heard of Link. So one day I snuck into the Temple of Light and broke the barrier between our worlds. I been here for the past seven years looking for Link. To fight him and so that he can help."

Tsumetai knew that it was alot to take in so he asked Mario a simple question. "So what's your history? How do you know Link?"

Mario took a few more seconds to absorb everything in, once he felt he understood everything he looked over at Tsumetai. "Well, I've met Link a few times in the past. Sometimes we just talked, while other times we were fighting evil together. While I was with him. It never really occured to me that balance might not of been restored to his homeland while he helped me, and some other of my friends, fight the evil forces outside of his own homeland." Mario stopped talking for a little bit, he looked around the lost woods, starting to feel that the exit was beginning to grow near as they traveled deeper in. "For my story, there's so much, and at the same time, so little that I could share, but, I guess I should start somewhere. I come from a place that's kind of far away from here, it's called the Mushroom Kingdom. Inside this Kingdom there are several people called Toads that live in this town. They're all very peaceful and never do anything to harm others. This is where I live with my younger brother, Luigi. It's very relaxing there, and we sometimes just rest on the brief periods of time that we're not doing anything major. Also, at the edge of this town, there's a castle where the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom lives. Her name is Peach, and all of the Toads love how she runs the town." Mario stopped talking after his short explanation. He looked around the woods, curious to find out where they were. When he couldn't figure that out, he decided to ask Tsumetai. "When do you think we'll be out of these Woods?"

"Wow that sounds like Heaven compared to my world. Well after this left we'll be out." Tsumetai had heard stories about someone from a land called Mushroom Kingdom, but he didn't pay it any mind because Tsumetai though that it was just a hoax or just something to ease people minds from the reality of his world. Without thinking Tsumetai asked Mario a simple question. "Wait a second do you battle a huge........turtle dinosaur creature named......Boser...Bo-Bow.....BOWSER?!! If so then I have heard stories about you. I thought they were all made up but if any of it's true then your a legend. I mean you saved an entire kingdom and several worlds. WOW! I never met a legend before. Whoa i'm getting ahead of myself. I'll let you answer that question. Oh and now we are out of Lost Woods. So now where?"

Mario scratched the back of his head in embarrassement. He looked over at Tsumetai before answering. "Yeah, those stories are all true. I've saved the Mushroom Kingdom at least a dozen times from Bowser. It's kind of like my full time job, I just have a lot more vacation time then most." He answered half-jokingly as they moved a little furthur outside of the Lost Woods. "I last saw Link in Kakariko Village not to long ago, I'd say that would be our best spot to start looking." Mario stated thoughtfully as he searched around, but the fields of Hyrule were so vast, he couldn't remember which direction Kakariko village was at.
