| I may have only been here about a week but I noticed that this site has absolutely no RPs going on and only chat! Seriously, this is a role-playing site, right? Then why is there no role-playing! Also, I see that the RPs that ARE going on have like really, really, really, REALLY short posts and no offense but they are like.. terrible! Bad punctuation, grammar, etcetc. Sorry but I don't think I'll be coming onto this site anymore, I was looking for a topic to reply to and I saw nothing!
Good Day! ~Kay | |

On a serious note, seriously shape up guys or ship out. I've tried my best to help the site, but it has gotten to the point where it goes 1 step forward and 20 back.

| I totally agree with both of you 100%.. I've been here since day one and I'm telling you it wasn't always this bad! Kay you may leave if you wish but you would've had more fun back in the site's prime-time. | |

| I know! I read some of the old topics, they were pretty good! The short posts make me angry though and the lack of proper spelling and grammar from people who are most likely in high school or college is really just plain SAD! SERIOUSLY! >.< Gragh! So annoying and stupid! | |

| Not all computers instantly have Spell/Grammar check. Some People forget to turn them on........
Err,Never mind. Perfect Grammar/Spelling would be nice, but the world can't be perfect always.

| For the grammar and punctuation points, I try to keep things straight. Sometimes I'll typo, and I might not catch it. As with the post length, if posts get too long, some people could get lost in the details writing and reading. I do that a lot when I write long statements.
I'm not saying saying the posts shouldn't be a spruced up a bit, but don't set your expectations really high. I've RP'd with novelist types and short posters. I prefer a happy medium, myself.

Thats a problem for me because 1. PSP's don't have spellcheckers installed 2. The virtual keyboard in a PSP takes ages to write..... 3. My own computer refuses to work+my parents won't let me on their computer 4. My PSP only lets me write like, 6-11 lines maybe. So that why my posts are genraly short Sorry guys -_-"

| I agree with you guys, but I'm not going to force people to make long posts or use proper grammar, I just let them do what they want, if it makes them happy I really don't mind. Thats what this site was made for, for people to come here and have a good time. Not to be bossed around, and told how to do things. Sure, it really bugs me when people make posts with the words like 'u' and without correct capitilizations or periods, but if they want to do that so be it. Personally I really don't like the type of people who think that you need three paragraphs in every single posts and everything has to be picture perfect. I totally agree with Karen, I've roleplayed with short posters and long, and I also prefer a medium to it. I post however I want, if I have the time I will make long posts with lots of description, but if I'm in a rush or tired I will also make short posts.
If you guys don't like people who make short posts and some wrong spelling, so be it leave. But I'm telling you I used to be like that, Storm did, Mario did, and Mega Man did. Among a lot of other users, we started out when we were young, (I was personally in the 8th grade when I started this site,) but we evolve. People change. Just because they aren't good roleplayers now dosen't mean that they can't change in the future. Most people who start on VGM are usually lackluster roleplayers and not very good at spelling, punctuation, or grammar. But the longer they're on the site the more they learn. I give everyone a chance, because they all usually turn out to be decent roleplayers.
I'm not going to ban these people, Zero even once sent me a PM saying that I should hold roleplaying exams or something, and that anyone who doesn't pass should be banned from the site. I thought about it, then I thought, 'really'? Thats just plain mean, if you guys really do think like this, and want to go, fine. Bluntly, I wouldn't want people on my site like that.
Oh yeah, and these users have really struck a chord with me. They kept this site alive while both Mario and I were absent, thats something that has never happened before. Usually the site dies when I go away, and Mario's not there to back me up. But this time, they kept it alive, and I'm really happy for that. Obviously they love the site much more than you guys, (you too Ellis, I know you said you had some 'stuff' but your on know, aren't you?) and if they really like the site that much who am I to turn them away?
Now that concludes my rant, and I'd appreciate it if you don't talk bad about my site.
