Hey guys, as you can tell I'm back on VGM once again, and I'm going to try and get this site up and running again to the best of my ability. I apologize for not being on in so long, but I'm back now and I'm going to improve things.. First off, I'm going to demote all of the moderators to normal users seeing as how Kirby, Ellis, and Kia haven't been on in forever, (longer than me ). Hopefully with the few members we still have on this site we can rebuild and attract more members.
Anyways now I'm going to do some new thing for the site, and I'd like all of your opinions on the matters. Please post here and respond to the following statements to voice your opinion. Here goes:

• I want to give VGM a 'face lift' new background, new buttons for the index, new template for the site. I'm even thinking about going through all of the rules again and re-writing them.
  Do you like the old look? Or do you think it's time for a new one?

• I want to scrap the 'Amigos' and replace them with an 'Extra Character'. Instead of having multiple weaker partners, you can have a secondary character who has the same stats as your main character. However you can only have one.
  Do you like amigos? Or do you want an extra character?

• Since, I'm going to demote all of the mods to normal users, I'm going to be in the need of couple new moderators, and maybe eventually a new administrator in the future, (although I'm hesitant on that because of when Kia was admin, he tried to change the whole site). However, I'd have to trust these people, they must know the rules almost as well as I do, have to have a good understanding of the site, and not be afraid to enforce the rules.
  Do you all think I can handle things for now? Or do you all think it's time for some new mods, to keep things running smoothly? Heck, if you even think you'd make a good mod let me know.

Finally, guilds have never really served much of a purpose... And I'm not really asking anyones opinion on this, I'm just letting you all know, I'm deleting the guilds.

Er...If I can find a good background, I will share it. Because you are right, this place does need a new look. I can easily make button icons, so if I think of anything, I'll also share. Beat will have to be deleted for the Extra Character thing, but I can live with it. I'll just make it a skill. As far as I can see, Proto Man is going to be my Extra Character. As for the guilds, they WERE just taking up extra space. I will try my best to get more members on here. I do think we need new mods. As I, along with Storm keeping up the site and have more experience, I think we would make good mods. But hey, your decision.

I agree with you on essentially every aspect of what you want to do to improve the site. It's sounds smart, well thought out, and most of all, it can actually be done since you're on the site once again. I do like the idea of new Moderators, (Concidering Kirby, Ellis, and Kia haven't been on in a very extended period of time, and when they do go on, they scarcely ever even attempt to do any real Moderator work) it could work, as long as you pick the right people to fill some of the old roles. (Although in my mind, I already know who I would choose to be the new Moderator[s].)

Anyway, the bottom line is I really like what's trying to be done, and with devoted, more senior users, (Such as Mega Man and Storm) and new incoming users to the site. I'm sure it can be rebuilt and become a great, enjoyable site once more.

Nice to know the two of you like my ideas. Anyone else have anything to say on this? If not I think within the next few days you can expect to see the 'face lift' for the site, and probably tonight I'll delete amigos and make the Extra Characters. So be on the lookout for that. And probably sometime in September I'm going to re-open the moderator sign-ups to get a couple of new mods, hopefully we'll have more than about 5 active users by then.
And, speaking of mods... I'd like to appoint Mega Man to be a moderator after seeing his commitment to the site, his knowledge of the rules, and even helping to enforce them while Mario and I were away is good enough proof for me that he's qualified. So, if Mario's okay with this (and of course Mega Man, if he has an objection), I'd like to make him a moderator as soon as possible.

That sounds good with me. Mega Man would have been my choice for Moderator too.

Haha, I don't know why you would have an objection, but some don't want the responsibilities of a moderator. Anyways with the power invested in me as an administrator of this site I declare you an admin! Congratulations Mega Man, not only can you approve but you can lock, move, and do various other things with topics. Although, use this power wisely.

I agree with everything you said Sonic. I'll keep my Extra character because that's what I just made her to be anyway. Also i'd like to be mod. I mean anytime something opens up i'll apply for it. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what the site will look like.
