Battle In The Desert (Part 1)

"Hmm? Who's there?" commanded Mega Man, also dying in heat, however unlike Mario, he didn't need to drink water. Mega Man decided to help Mario to his feet.

Mario gazed blankly at Mega Man as he carried him off the ground. He couldn't quite understand that it was Mega Man who was helping him. Just then a group of Koopa Bandits came and swarmed the two of them. There were about five of them and they looked like they meant business. A few seconds after their arrival, Mario passed out from exhaustion. The Koopa Bandits stared at Mega Man as the group of five cornered him to a rock.

Mega Man shoots Bandit 3 and kills him. Bandits tackled Mega Man to the scorching sand dealing 30 damage.

"Hmm...this guy...Dr. Light, do you know who this guy is?" Mega Man whispered to Dr. Light on his communicator. "Indeed I do, Mega Man. He is known as the world-famous Mario." Dr. Light responded. "It seems he has passed out from heat. Water will help. Or even coldness." "All right. Thanks. Turning off communicator now." Mega Man thanked Dr. Light as he turned off the communicator "Ho, boy. I just hope I find Heat Man soon. Now what to do...Maybe if I freeze the ground, it will be cold enough to wake Mario up. After that, the sun can heat the ice and melt it into water!" That's just what Mega Man did. But after awhile, 3 Metool came. They saw Mega Man and hid.

IC: Mario slowly began to regain conciousness. He looked up and noticed Mega Man standing above him he gave him a small wave as he slowly and weakly tried to get to his feet.

Mega Man noticed Mario was up and waved back as 3 of the metools shot him by coming out of their hats, each dealing 15 damage for a total of 45 damage. Mega Man shot Metool 2 and killed it.

Netko and Anna were walking close by when Anna spotted a faint blue glint passed her eyes

"Netko, can you see that?" She questioned him

"Yeah, wait there!" Netko replyed, he got out his scouter and zoomed in on the blue glint. He notised it was Mega Man. "He's a friendly, and he's got someone with him who's not looking too good." Netko began to run towards them, not realising the Metool's

Anna took a drink from her hydration pack and then followed her bro.

Mario clumsily stood up on his own. His breath wasn't coming in proper intervals, and his head was clouded from heat. He managed to gather enough strength to swing his Hammer at one of the Metools, destroying it instantly. He then fell to the ground on one of his knees, pushed to the edge of his exhaustion.

"Mario!" yelled Mega Man as he blasted the metool to kill it. He then looked at the distance and saw someone familiar. "Dr. Light...this guy...he's familiar. Who is he again? This heat is making me lose my mind!" "Indeed I do, Mega Man. This guy is Netko." nodded Dr. Light on the communicator. "Netko!? He's the one who helped me defeat a few of the robots you created that gone mad because of Wily!" stumbled Mega Man in shock. "Right. There's an oasis ahead. Bring Mario there." explained Dr. Light. "Okay. Turning communicator off now." Mega Man agreed and then turned off the communicator.

Netko dashed up to Mario and Mega Man, with Anna following him.

"Oi, long time, no see!" he said cheerfully

Anna noticed one of the Metools and looked causisly at it.

"What is that?!" she said

Mewtwo flew above the desert slowly, looking around like if he was trying to find something. "Hmmm..." he wondered.

"Huh? Oh! It seems your friend found a Metool!" exclaimed Mega Man as he shot and killed it. "When they're hiding in that hat, it's not possible to defeat! Not even with a laser!"

Mario glanced up at Mega Man as he spoke to someone that he couldnt' quite make out. The shock of the desert was beginning to sap away at him more fiercely then before.

"We need more water, Beat! Carry Mario as you do with me to water!" called Mega Man. Around 4 minutes later while Mega Man was following Beat, they found an oasis (yes, this was in Paper Mario). "An oasis? In the desert!? Place Mario in it..." Mega Man was confused. He was also glad that they now had a water supply. But it wasn't long until a huge fireball hit Beat in the back! "Beat! Heat Man, come out!" yelled Mega Man in sheer anger. "Ahahaha! I will knock you and Mario down! For Wily!" Heat Man was laughing away at Mega Man! *all stats restored for fight*

IC: Mario slowly, yet stedily, returned to his feet. The water seemed to magically fill him with a massive sense of relief as all of his power seemed to return to him in the blink of an eye. Mario looked over at Mega Man and gave him a look of gratitude as he tipped his hat in thanks for his actions towards rescuing him. He then turned his attention towards Heat Man with a look of disbelief. Mario took a second to make sure he was prepared before he dashed at Heat Man, whacking him across the face with his Hammer. (Dealing 85 damage) Mario then did a quick jump backwards and landed somewhere near Heat Man and Mega Man.

Mario jumped high into the air and delievered a strong blow to the frozen Heat Man's side with his Hammer. (dealing 85 damage) Mario then moved to the side and looked at the sun, it was still blazing hot.

Mario jumped into the air and started to shoot a large number of Fire Orbs at the frozen Heat Man, (Dealing 150 damage, costing 160 SP) causing a massive amount of damage towards their frozen adversary.

Mega Man quickly shot his charged shot to do 35 damage instead of 25. Heat Man broke out and used a fiery ring on Mario, dealing 100 damage and burned him (burn makes you take 4 damage each turn and your attack is halved)! "Finish him!" called Mega Man.

Mario gave a quick nod in agreement to Mega Man before unleashing another series of Fire Orbs on Heat Man (Dealing a reduced 75 damage, costing 160 SP) knocking him out cold to the ground. After the fight concluded, Mario took off his hat and quickly whipped the back of his hand over his forehead. The heat still felt immensely hot.

"Alright! Heat Man is down, so now it's time to take his power!" cheered Mega Man. He got Atomic Fire (I'll be making this as a skill.)! "Beat, let's fly him back to the lab." Mega Man called Beat as Beat flew Mario back, Mega Man did a teleport back to the lab.

~30 minutes later~
"Dr. Light, I've located where Bubble Man is! And further mo-Beat! You brought Mario back safely! Well done!" gasped Mega Man. "So this is the famous Super Mario...I thank you for helping Mega Man." Dr. Light bowed in gratitude to Mario, and then got back to work.
