So Far So Good!

So far, the Recreation of VGM has been going pretty smoothly. So far.. Zero, Zexion, Sol, Sonic, Mario, Dimentio, Storm, Kisuke, and I are the only active members.. We need to try to get some other users like Kirby to come back. I'm still working on the video, so that still has a bit til it's finished.. Hmm.. and if anyone has any ideas for new features, suggest them. I mean.. it's great to have new features for a site rebirth, right? I'd like to get into the Entertainment Page and update it, but I'm unable to at the moment since I'm just a mod, soooo.. anyway, I might be able to scrape up some new ideas similar to the entertainment page and Word of the Wise.. You'll just have to give me some time. I know that VGM could have a Christmas Theme =3 Which might be appealing to some users. There's also something I've been thinking of that we could do some sort of "Text Adventures" thing.. where someone gives someone instructions through a pre-determined path. This is a topic that only two people can post in. For instance;

Player Who is Playing Text Adventures; Sonic
Narrator; Ellis

Ellis:
You carry a bag with 30 coins, a small dagger, and a bottle of water. Before you lies three paths. Straight ahead, there is a cave. To your right, you see a well-lit path to what appears to be a large spring. And to your left is a path through a dense forest. Which path with you take?

Sonic:
Sonic examines each path carefully and decides to head through the path through the dense forest.

Ellis:
Along the path, you encounter an ominous creature with a hood over his face. The creature offers you a treasure chest, the content is unknown, for 10 coins. Do you accept the offer, engage the creature in an attempt to take the chest for free, or offer him your bottle of water instead of coins?

etc.etc.

So yes, I will continue to think of some more ideas for the site.

No kidding, the restoration of VGM is going pretty smoothly. I'm thinking I'd like a X-Mas theme for VGM as well, if anyone would like to contribute X-mas themed banners and backrounds we could have a contest, but if anyone wouldn't want to do that, I'm sure I could just whip a banner up.
As for the Text Adventures things I'm thinking that would be a fairly interesting concept. I'd like to look more in that.
Also, thanks for all your help so far with restoring VGM, Ellis. I'm looking forward to that video!

Maybe make special seasonal topics that only appear around important holidays, like for Christmas, you could make a topic called Sherbet Land and take it off on New Years Day? Just a suggestion.

Easter: Yoshi Egg Land (one I made up)
4th of July: Peach's Castle when Fire Works are Going on
Halloween: A Super Mario Bros. Ghost House
Thanksgiving: You think of this one
Christmas: Sherbet Land

For the christmas theme we could have an attack of evil snowman event since hanukkah was yesterday we could do like a nazi-zombie thing

Also, I would like affiliates Kisuke, but I want to be affiliates with sites that I actually like. There have been a few sites that wanted to be aff. with us but I usually weren't to fond of the sites.
Anyways.. I'm just happy that no one sees the affiliate button for VGM on WCC.... I wouldn't want all those spammers on this site.

I know what if we had a touranment Mario and Sonic would be captains and they pick people to be on there team and we all go aganist one another

That sounds sort of fun. How would it work?

Well I had an idea. We could do something called the VGM Wars, and it's when All of the good guys go up against the bad guys in a series of battles, or Sonic and Mario could make teams for the VGM Wars, like Kisuke Suggested.

I'll go with kisuke and Dimentios idea.
