What does it do: Hotsuma increases his speed greatly as he moves, moving faster than light and giving the illusion of an "afterimage". He uses it frequently to confuse and dispatch his enemies quickly.

History: Ninja are expected to be masters of moving skillfully, silently, and quickly. Only a few are capable of performing the impressive "afterimage" technique. Hotsuma's clan is one of the only clans to have ninja capable of successfully performing the technique with ease. Only Hotsuma and his brother Moritsune, however, are able to do it several times in rapid succession.
