A Looming Darkness (Part 1)

Protoman grinned evilly. He was still electrified. He overcharged his blaster 8 times using 40 SP and unleashed it on DD Girl 5 for 200 damage, plus 10 explosion damage to all of the DD girls (excluding 3).

"Don't think you're safe yet dark DD Girl 3..." Mega Man grinned, swapped to Air Tornado and shot it through her barrier, dealing 20 damage. "So you're the only one who could attack her this turn? Bah, not amusing!" Pharaoh Man launched his Pharaoh Shots at the two DD Girls who are unprotected, dealing a weakened 120 damage to both of them. Dark DD Girl 5 was taken out. The first dark DD Girl used Flame Sniper on Pharaoh Man, taking him out instantly. No way... The third dark DD Girl just stood there while recovering. Her shield would disappear the next turn. The third dark DD Girl recovered 5HP. "Aim for the unprotected one! She can destroy us easily!" Eddie flew by once more and gave both Mega Man and Proto Man small weapon eneries, healing Mega Man's units by 10, and Proto Man's SP by 10.

Fawful, knew he was missing out on something, but he didn't know what exactly. Fawful really wanted this battle to end, so he turned into Dark Fawful and hit the Dark Wasp for 45 damage. The Dark Wasp then sufferered 5 damage from burn.

Mega Man heard some kind of explosion, but it was much much lower down. Mega Man pleaded that it was Fawful, coming to assist them with this somewhat impossible fight at this point. He used Fire Storm on the first dark DD Girl, dealing 40 damage and protecting himself for this turn. He knew though that he couldn't play around with this strategy forever. The first dark DD Girl grunted and used Fire Soul on Proto Man, dealing 70 damage to him. The third dark DD Girl used Shine Aqua Illusion on Proto Man, taking him out. No...no...no! Mega Man was alone with the two dark DD Girls. He was the only one on top of the tower, and had no chance of destroying the generator, even if he can somehow survive the onslaught of the duo. The third dark DD Girl healed 5HP.

The shady wasp vanished in a puff of smoke for whatever reason. Fawful proceeded up the stairs and found a room. The room boosted Fawful's attack by 20 for the next fight. He was also fully healed. He also had no resistance met for the next floors. His defense got increased by 20 for the next fight and he also gained the ability to have double the regular SP for the cost of 20 less defense for the next fight, which wasn't a problem seeing as he had the boosted defense first. He arrived at the roof and noticed Mega Man and two dark figures, resembling the DD Girls.

Protoman awoke at the bottom of the tower. He was normal again and perfectly healed. But he needed to be at the top. He awoke finding Fawful, who he witnessed killed. He saw the tower once more and sighing, raced after him.

Mega Man simply shot the first dark DD Girl, dealing 40 damage. The first dark DD Girl used Burning Mandala, summoning orbs of fire to hit both Mega Man and Fawful for 80 damage. The third dark DD Girl used Aqua Rhapsody on Mega Man, striking him with 75 damage, possibly the strongest attack of the third dark DD Girl yet. Mega Man noticed Fawful had reached him and Proto Man was right behind him. He got a few enhancements as well as Fawful. Dark DD Girl 3 healed 5HP again.

K woke up and looked around and notice he was alive and at the bottom again "Damn i have to make it to mega man and fawful again." K said as he got up and started to dash up the tower again to help friends, "please be safe yall, i will be their soon."

Mega Man shot the first dark DD Girl, destroying her. The third dark DD Girl used Shine Aqua Illusion on Proto Man, dealing a reduced 60 damage and making him hit himself for 1/4th of his attack's power next turn. The dark DD Girl healed 5 more HP.

K rushed up the stairs and got a few upgrades along the way. He met up with Mega Man, Fawful and Proto Man shortly.

Xalgon woke up and saw that he was at the bottom of the tower."What just happend?" He then took off up the stairs.

Protoman understood what would happen. But he wanted to end this. Overcharging his blaster 7 times for 70 SP, he fired it at DD girl 3, utterly destroying her. Then 1/4 of that damage hit him too, for 44 damage (rounded up). He was still alive but pretty injured.

"Time to destroy the generator!!" Mega Man charged his Mega Buster and blasted the generator at full power. The generator let off a blinding light, and anyone inside or on top of the tower...disappeared? The darkness was lifting from the world, but the heroes were nowhere to be found. Dr. Light tried to contact Mega Man but got no signal. "I pray for Mega Man's safety...Wily could strike at any time..."
